Result : Pakistan won the match by an innings and 44 runs.

Bangladesh suffer a disappointing defeat in the first Test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi as the hosts picked up the reminder four wickets in hurry to win the match by and 44 runs. Second and final Test of the series will be held on April 5 when Bangladesh will return to Pakistan to play One-off ODI and the second Test.

Two overnight batsmen Mominul Haque and Liton Kumar resumed the Bangladesh innings on 126 for 6. Mominul was the first man to be dismissed as he added only four runs to his tally before Shaheen Afirdi trapped him lbw on 41 in the first over of the day.

Liton then tried to put some fightback to force Pakistan bat again by avoiding innings defeat. But his effort was cut short by Yasir Ali who got him out after scoring 29. Other batsmen failed to trouble the bowlers as Bangladesh were bowled out for 168 runs. Naseem Shah and Yasir Ali shared 4 wickets each for Pakistan.
