Bangladesh have lost the third and final T20I against Afghanistan by 1 run in a thrilling encounter at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun, India. With this win, Afghanistan clinched the 3-match series by 3-0.

Afghanistan decided to bat first after winning the toss. Nazmul Islam got rid of Shahzad on 26 and broke the opening stand of 55. Despite some tight bowling from the bowlers, Afghanistan managed to post 145 for 6 in 20 overs thanks to Stanikzai’s unbeaten 31. Nazmul and Abu Jayed shared two wickets each.

After a slow start, Bangladesh were in deep trouble after losing 4 wickets for 53. Then Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah fought back with a 84-run partnership in the fifth wicket which gave Bangladesh a glimpse of hope.

Mushfiqur took 21 runs to bring the equation to 9 runs in the last over. Mushfiqur was dismissed on the first ball after scoring 46. Ariful tried to pull of a last ball six but it was not enough. Mahmudullah was run out on 45 on the last ball ball of 20th over as Tigers lost the match by 1 run.
