Bangladesh have started the 2-match Test series against Zimbabwe following another batting collapse in the second innings on day four at Sylhet. Zimbabwe lead the series 1-0.

Two openar Liton Das and imrul Kayes started the day with the overnight score of 26 without loss chasing 321. They added 30 more runs in the partnership before Sikandar Raza got rid of Liton on 23. Mominul Haque then got out cheaply on 9. Imrul played an sensible knock of 43 before he mistimed a sweep shot and bowled out by Sikandar.

Mahmudullah, Nazmul Hossain and Mushfiqur Rahim all got the start but neither of them managed to play a big innings as the hosts were all over the Bangladesh batting order. Debutant Ariful Haque played an knock of 38 which just reduced the defeat margin as Tigers were eventually all pout for 169 in 63.1 overs. Mavuta bagged 4 wickets for 21.

Second Test of the series will start from November 11 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS), Dhaka.
