Bangladesh lost the second Test at Sabaina Park

Despite Shakib Al Hasan’s all-round heroics, Bangladesh lost the second Test by 166 runs against West Indies on the third day Sabaina Park, Jamaica. With this win, West Indies sealed the two-match series by 2-0.

Spinners gave Bangladesh a excellent start of the day led by skipper Shakib who took 6 wickets for just 33 to dismiss West Indies for 129 in their second innings. Roston Chase was the highest scorer for Windies with 32. Mehidy Hasan took 2 wickets for 45.

Chasing 335, Bangladesh lost the wicket of Tamim Iqbal early of the innings without scoring. Bangladesh lost three more wickets before the tea break and were in trouble on 67 for 4. Then Shakib and Mushfiqur Rahim added 54 runs in the fifth wicket. Jason Holder bowled Mushfiqur out on 31 and broke the partnership. Shakib continued his lone fightnack but Holder’s second 5-wicket haul in the match restricted Bangladesh innings to 168 in 42 overs. Shakib was dismissed after scoring the highest knock of 54. Holder bagged 6 wickets for 59.
