Result : India won by and innings and 46 runs.

Mushfiqur Rahim’s fighting knock was not enough for Bangladesh to avoid the innings defeat in the second Test as India seal the match and series on the first session of third day at Eden Gardens. India won the match by an innings and 46 runs and clinch the series 2-0.

Bangladesh started the day with the overnight score of 152 for 6. Ebadat Hossain was the first batsman to be dismissed in the second over of the day without scoring. Mushfiqur played some counter attacking shots from the start but it did not last long as he finally got out on 74 by Umesh Yadav.

Al-Amin Hossain’s little cameo knock of 22 came to an end as Umesh dismissed him to claim his fifer. Injured Mahmudullah was ruled out of the match as Bangladesh were all out for 195 and suffer an innings defeat. Umesh grabbed 5 wickets for 53 for India.
