Winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to field first. Tamim Iqbal was rested for this match. Seamers gave perfect start as they picked up four wickets of India for 102 in 22 overs. But then a 164-run stand between KL Rahul and MS Dhoni powered India for a massive total. Both scored centuries as India posted 359 for 7 after 50 overs. Soumya Sarkar and Liton Kumar Das started off the Bangladesh innings on a good note before Bumrah got rid of Soumya. In the next ball Bumrah bowled Shakib for a duck. Post that, Liton and Mushfiqur Rahim’s 120 runs partnership in the third wicket looked well in touch.
