Bangladesh defeated the Windies in the second Test by an innings and 184 runs to clinch the two-match series 2-0 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Mehidy Hasan Miraz starred with the ball for the Tigers, taking a total of 12 wickets in the match. This is the biggest victory for Bangladesh in Tests.

Windies started with the overnight score of 75 for 5 on the third day. Miraz rolled over the visitors lower order as he claimed four more wickets to dismiss Windies for 111 in the first innings. Miraz grabbed his career best 7 wickets for 58.

Bangladesh then enforced the follow-on to put Windies bat again. Shakib again struck in the first over of the innings by picking up the wickets of Brathwaite on 1. Miraz put Windies on trouble again as he bagged another 5-wicket haul in the match.

Hetmyer played an counter-attacking 93 runs but other spinners chipped in with wickets as Windies were all out for 213 in the second innings. Miraz picked up 5 wickets for 59.

Miraz was named the player of the match for his heroics with the ball and Shakib was named the Player of the Series.
