Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka Cricket President XI by 41 runs in the only practice match ahead of the Nidahas Trophy 2018. Bangladesh will face India in the first match on March 8.

Batting first Bangladesh posted a total of 186 for 5 thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim’s half-century. Mushfiqur was dismissed after scoring 65 off 44 balls. Liton Kumar’s 40 off just 18 balls and skipper Mahmudullah’s 43 off 27 also helped Bangladesh to set a big target for the Sri Lanka Cricket President XI.

In reply President XI were all out for 145 in 19 overs. Niroshan Dickwella was scored the highest 27 runs. Taskin and Rubel both grabbed 2 wickets. Apu, Miraz, Soumya and Abu Hider all took 1 wicket each.
