Bangladesh suffer batting collapse in second innings

A batting collapse in the last hour of the third day put the Tigers in all sorts of trouble against Pakistan in the first Test. At stumps of Day 3, Bangladesh still trailing by 86 runs with 4 wickets in hand.

Bangladesh started the second innings on a good note as Tamim Iqbal and Saif Hasan added 39 runs in the opening stand. Naseem Shah broke the partnership with the wicket of debutant Saif for 16. His partner Taamim departed after scoring 34. Then in the third wicket, skipper Mominul Haque and Najmul Hossain Shanto out on a fightback.

Naseem again gave the breakthrough for Pakistan by dismissing Shanto on 38 and then went onto pick up hat-trick to put his side in a commanding position. Just before the end of the days play, Yasir Ali removed Mohammad Mithun as Bangladesh were reduced to 126 for 6. Mominul was remained unbeaten on 37 and Liton was on 0. Naseem scalped 4 wickets for 26.

Earlier Pakistan were all out for 445 and added 103 runs from their overnight score of 342 for 3. Abu Jayed and Rubel Hossain both shared 3 wickets for Bangladesh.
