Bangladesh lost the second ODI against Windies by 4 wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Following the win, Windies leveled the 3-match series 1-1. Third and final match of the series will be held on December 14 at Sylhet.

Earlier Windies have won the toss and opted to bat first. Bangladesh played with the unchanged playing eleven from the first match.

Batting first, Bangladesh looked for a big total as Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim gave the foundation with a 111-run stand in the second wicket. But Windies bolwers picked up wickets in regular interval to put the Tigers in pressure in the middle overs. Shakib Al Hasan hold on from one end and played 65-run knock off 62 balls.

But some disciplined bowling from the visitors restricted Bangladesh for 255 for 7 in 50 overs. Thomas bagged 3 wickets for 54.

Defending 255, Bangladesh needed early breakthrough and Miraz gave it by dismissing Hemraj on 5. Rest of the Windies innings was Shai Hope’s brilliance as he batted through the last over despite losing parters from the other end. Hope ended up unbeaten on 146 to guide Windies a 4-wicket victory in 49.4 overs. Rubel Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman shared two wickets each for Bangladesh.
