Bangladesh Women’s defeat Thailand to recover

Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team faced host nation Thailand today at Asian Cricket Council Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup. This was the  5th Match hosted at Asian Institute of Technology, Terdthai Cricket Ground, Bangkok. Bangladesh won by 35 runs in a low scoring match.

Bangladesh Women scored 88 runs off 20 overs. Opener Sanjida Islam scored 38 runs of 48 balls. Later Bangladesh bowled out Thailand for only 53 runs among 18.3 overs. Jahanara Alam took two wickets while the skipper Rumana picked up 3 wickets. Sanjida Islam was awarded the player of the match. This was a welcome win after the disaster of the first match where Bangladesh Women’s were defeated by India by 64 runs.

Bangladesh will face Nepal in November 29 at 1.30 PM(DST).
