BCB XI beat Ireland Wolves by 199 runs in the last practice match at Civil Service Cricket Ground, Stormont, Belfast ahead of Tri-Nation series.

Batting first BCB XI posted mammoth total of 394 for 7 in 50 overs thanks to Sabbir Rahman’s century and Tamim Iqbal’s half-century. After Soumya Sarkar’s early departure, Tamim and Sabbir made 103 runs in the second wicket partnership. Tamim gone for 86 off 74 balls. His innings included 14 fours and 2 sixes.

Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah all were dismissed before fifty. Sabbir retired after scoring 100 from 86 balls including 14 fours and 1 six. Shane Getkate was the most successful bowler for Ireland Wolves with 3 for 60.

Rubel Hossain struck twice for BCB XI in space of 2 overs to get rid of both openers of Ireland Wolves. Wolves were never in the game as they lost wickets in regular basis and ended up all out on 195. Mustafizur Rahman, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan and Rubel Hossain all picked up 2 wickets each. Other 2 wickets were shared by Soumya Sarkar and Subashis Roy.

Bangladesh will face Ireland in the first match of the Tri-Nation series at Malahide, Dublin on 12th May.
