Bangladesh team had another rough day in Indore as the hosts further strengthened their position in the first Test. Mayank Agarwal’s double ton helped India taking a massive lead of 343 runs with 4 wickets remaining.

India started the day with the overnight score of 86 for 1. Abu Jayed maintained his good bowling form the first day and struck twice in the morning session to prove some early fightback. He dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli in the successive overs for 54 and 0 respectively. But then Agarwal and Ajinkya Rahane put on a big partnership of 190 runs in the fourth wicket.

It was Abu Jayed who again gave the breakthrough by picking up the wicket of Rahane on 86. Later Mehidy Hasan and Ebadat Hossain chipped in with one wicket each but it was too late as Agarwal’s 212-run knock help them posting a mammoth firts innings total. India ended the day scoring 493 for 6.

Ravindra Jadeja picked up an quickfire fifty and remained unbeaten on 60 and Umesh Yadav was not out on 25. Abu Jayed was the standout bowler for the Tigers who grabbed 4 wickets for 108 runs so far.
