Match Report: Victorians claw back to beat Bulls

The Comilla Victorians have finally managed to get their 2nd win of the season, defeating the Barisal Bulls comfortably. In pursuit of 144, Comilla batsmen gunned the runs down with 8 wickets and 6 balls remaining.

Opting to bat first, Jeevan Mendis attempted a decent start for the Bulls despite couple of early losses as he scored 28 off 24 with 2 fours and as many sixes before he was bowled out by Nabil Samad, reducing BB to 64/3. Wickets falling on regular basis,  captain Mushfiqur Rahim’s 29 from 23 raised his side to 87/6. BB total reached a fair figure of 142 courtesy Enamul Haque (20* off 15) and Abu Haider Rony (16* off 6). Nabil Samad was the most successful among Comilla Bowlers who claimed 3 for 17 from his 4 over spell.

In the chase, Imrul and Shahzad set the platform for a comprehensive win for Comilla as the opening pair posted 93 off 12.4 overs before getting caught by Rabbi and bowled by Malan for 46 off 35 with 6 fours and 1 six. Shehzad lasted a bit longer scoring 61 from 56 with five fours. Samuels gave the finishing touch with his 27 from 18 which steered the Victorians past the line.
