Match Report: Vikings claim win at home

The Chittagong Vikings have finally made their way to another win of the season, beating the Rajshahi Kings by 19 runs at their homeground. Putting a total of 190/5, piloted by an annihilating knock from Mohammad Nabi, the Vikings restricted the Kings to 171/9.

Opting to bat first, Chittagong top order rocked at regular intervals as they were reduced to 68/4. From that point Mohammad Nabi pulled them to 173, accompanied by Anamul Haque before Anamul went for 50 off 40 with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Nabi was unbeaten on a devastating 87 off 37, hitting 6 fours and same number of sixes, getting the team total to 190/5.

Chasing down, RK’s opening pair of Mominul and Junaid started it well to add 44 from 27. Mominul fell for 22 and then Sabbir joined with Junaid to bring up another 34 runs. Junaid was then caught at long-off attempting to hit Elliott down the track. He made 38 off 28 with 1 four and 3 sixes. Umar Akmal seemed to get a grip too before picking up Dwayne Smith at cow corner for 21. Sabbir went one over later skying a slower from Imran Jr to Tamim at cover, after playing a rapid knock of 46 from 30, with 1 four and 4 sixes. Collapse continued as Tasking picked his first T20 five-fer to see RK 19 runs short of the opponents at the end.
