After the third day of the fourth round of BCL, North Zone are facing a mammoth task to avoid defeat against South Zone. And in the other match, Central Zone are still in the upper hand against East Zone, but draw is probably the most likely consequence there.

South Zone bowler Nahidur commemorated the day with his first ever 5-wicket haul in first class cricket. North Zone lost Nasir Hossain in the morning. Dhiman Ghosh tried to counter attack the opposition by scoring some quick runs. Eventually he was out for 67 of 74 balls. North Zone were all out for 242 runs and consequently could not save the follow on.

After following on, North Zone have fought back quite well in the second innings. After the departure of Nazmul Hossain at 25 runs, Zunaid Siddique and Farhad Hossain added 82 runs in the second wicket. At the end of the day, Farhad was not out for 62 and Naeem Islam was on 24. South Zone have to take the 8 wickets to win the match tomorrow.

Central Zone also are in commanding position against East Zone. East Zone suffered a batting collapse yesterday losing 6 wickets 114 runs. But Yasir Ali and Abul Hasan fought back this morning. They added 72 runs in the 7th wicket. Abul just missed his fifty for 2 runs. East Zone were eventually all out for 211, but Yasir was unbeaten on 48.

In their second Innings, Central Zone ended the day with 266 runs with 5 wickets in hand. Marshal Ayub scored 73. Taibur Rahman was unbeaten on 55 and Nurul Hasan was on 32. Central Zone are already 383 runs ahead, East Zone have to save the match in the final day.
