An annihilating career-best T20 fifty from Seekkuge Prasanna and his side was looking to get past the finish line riding on it. They couldn’t make it finally though, but Prasanna is definitely the performer of the match scoring the second fastest fifty of BPL combining all seasons.
Dhaka were struggling with the chase losing 7 wickets for 83 and here started the Seekkuge storm. He bashed Cooper for three big sixes off a single over and continued to dominate over the bowlers as the game got a nail-biting shape. His power-stroked 53 came off 22 as he took the aerial route for 7 times. His fifty came from 18 balls which is second fastest in the tournament. Fastest one was score by Ahmed Shahzad off 16 balls in the first edition of 2012.
Requiring 9 from the final over, Prasanna lofted to the long off where he was taken by Ariful Haque and DD were demolished on 148.
