An emphatic 5-wicket victory over Sylhet Sixers keep the hope of Rajshahi Kings alive for the final spot of playoffs in BPL 2019 as they ended the Chattogram phase’s last match on a high. Following the win, Kings are now at the fourth spot on the table with 12 points in 12 matches. Sixers are out of the competition with with one match in hand.

Sixers opted to bat first after winning the toss. Afif Hossain and Sabbir Rahman provide two solid knocks in the top order to set up the stage ready Nicholas Pooran for some big hitting. Pooran who already played some blistering knocks, scored another one with a unbeaten 71 off just 31 balls including 6 fours and 6 sixes. Sixers ended their innings on a big total of 189 for 5. Kamrul Islam Rabbi bagged 2 wickets for 30.

Chasing 190, Kings were struggling after losing third wicket for 64 in the ninth over. But Laurie Evans and Ryan ten Doeschate had other ideas as they went onto made an match-winning 109-run partnership in the fourth wicket and made things easy for the Kings.

Evans was was dismissed after scoring a 36-ball 76-run knock. Chrustian Jonker and Soumya Sarkar did the rest of the job as they sealed the match with 5 wickets and 2 overs in hand. Sohail Tanvir and Alok Kapali shared two wickets each for the Sixers.
