Shakib’s recovery will take 10 more days: BCB Physician

Assistant Physio Monirul Amin of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today spoke about the progress of Shakib Al Hasan who injured his left ankle couple of days  ago.


Monirul Amin said, “Shakib got injured in his left ankle on 14th July. We call it left ankle strain, one or two ligament of that part got injured.  It’s in the grade one level which is a simple injury. So we are keeping him in conservative treatment and rehab programme. He’s already improving, swelling is much lesser now. We are expecting that within next 1-2 days he can take part in upper body exercise, lower body cycling, working. He will be fully fit to resume full phased activities from the day to injury to maximum 10 days.”

He also gave update on injured fast bowler Rubel Hossain, “Rubel got a fracture in his Zygomatic bone and it has been almost 4 weeks since he had an operation there. He will gradually start from lower body rehab program. After 6 weeks he can start full training. Approximately we are hopeful that he can start training after August.”
