Bangladesh bowlers struggled on the second day of first Test as New Zealand took a big lead of 217 runs. In response to Bangladesh’s 234, Kiwis have posted 451 for 4 in 118 overs at stumps of second day at Hamilton.

New Zealand started the day with the overnight score of 86 without loss. Jeet Raval and Tom Latham both picked up centuries and made an 254-run opening stand. Skipper Mahmdullah broke the partnership by dismissing Raval on 132. Soumya Sarkar then chipped in with two quick wickets of Latham and Rossm Taylor for 161 and 4 respectively.

Just before the end of the day’s play, Mehidy Hasan struck to dismiss Hanry Nicholls on 53. Kane Williamson remained unbeaten om 93 and night-watchman Neil Wagner was on 1. Soumya was the most successfull bowler for the Tigers with 2 wickets for 57.
