Bangladesh bowlers had another rough day in Kandy as the hosts dominated the fourth day of first Test. Karunaratne and Dhananjaya batted the entire day as Sri Lanka posted 512 for 3 before an early end of the day’s play due to bad light. They trail by 29 runs.

Sri Lanka started the day with the overnight score of 229 for 3. Just like the last session of third day, Karunaratne and Dhananjaya frustrated the bowlers as they went wicket less till lunch. Post the the break Bowlers created few chances but those were not enough to dismiss any of the batsmen.

Captain Mominul brought himself in the attack and then also opener Saif Hasan too but nothing worked against the Karunaratne-Dhananjaya pair. After the tea break, Karunaratne picked up his double hundred while Dhananjay too scored hundred on ther other end. At stumps, Karunaratne was unbeaten on 234 and Dhananjaya was on 154.
