Home team Chittagong Vikings clinched their 2nd win of the season with a 40-run victory over Sylhet Sixers in the 26th match of AKS BPL 2017 Powered by Shah Cement.

Sylhet Sixers opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Luke Ronchi provided another steady start to Chittagong. But it was two explosive knocks from Sikandar Raza and Stiaan van Zyl which powered Chittagong to a mammoth total of 211 for 5 in 20 overs. Sikandar Raza was dismissed after scoring 95 off 45 balls while van Zyl scored 40. Kamrul Islam Rabbi took 2 wickets for 35.

Chasing 212, Andre Fletcher gave a flying start to Sylhet Sixers. Fletcher and Babar Azam’s 80-run stand in the 2nd wicket gave some hope to Sylhet. But after their departure, Sylhet were losing wickets in regular intervals and managed to score 171 for 8 after 20 overs. Fletcher scored 71 off 46 balls. Taskin Ahmed bagged 3 wickets for 31.

Sikandar Raza was named man of the match for his blistering knock.
