Bangladesh started the first of three-match T20I series with defeat by Windies by 8 wickets at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet. Windies lead the series by 1-0. Second match of the series will be held on December 20. Shakib Al Hasan opted to bat first after winning the toss. Both opener Tamim Iqbal and Liton Kumar Das departed early for 19 in the board. Windies bowlers kept picking up wickets regularly and put Bangladesh in trouble from the begining. Shakib on the other end played an counter-attacking knock of 61 to help Bangladesh post 130 before all out in 19 overs. Cottrell bagged 4 wickets 28. Chasing 130, Windies started their innings aggressively as opening pair added 51-run in just 3.2 overs before Saifuddin got rid of Lewis on 18. Hope was dismissed after scoring a quick-fire 55 which eased the chase. Paul and Pooran did the rest of the job to power the visitors a 8-wicket win. Saifuddin and Mahmudullah shared one wicket each for Bangladesh.
