Zimbabwe need 367 runs to win on the fifth day with 8 wickets in hand. Earlier Bangladesh were opted against enforcing follow-on and decided to bat in the second innings. But Jarvis and Tripano’s impressive show in the morning put the Tigers in big trouble after losing 4 wickets for just 25. Then debutant Mohammad Mithun and skipper Mahmudullah came to the rescue with a key partnership of 118 in the fifth wicket. Mithun was dismissed after scoring his maiden Test fifty on 67. Mahmudullah remained unbeaten to score his 2nd century in Tests before last ball of tea break and immediately declared the second innings on 224 for 6 in 54 overs with a lead of 442 runs. Jarvis and Tripano shared two wickete each. Chasing 443, Zimbabwe started well with a 68-run opening stand before Miraz got rid of Masakadza on 25. Taijul then dismissed Chari for 43. Zimbabwe ended the day on 76 for 2 in 30 overs. Taylor was unbeaten on 4 and Williams was on 2.
