India bat again after Mushfiq's splendid ton
When he came down to bat, Bangladesh were under severe pressure losing 4 wickets scoring only 109 runs. Pacers were absolutely fired up, spinners were getting nagging turns. Mushfiqur Rahim, the skipper of Bangladesh, took this situation as ideal stage to execute his skills to perfection. He got his reward on the fourth day morning since he has attained his fifth test ton. It’s difficult to describe the efforts Mushfiq made on the crease. He showed extreme patience, absolute diligence and superb temperament. He blocked the balls with sheer confidence but also charged the bowlers if got any loose delivery. He faced 262 balls to play this magnificent innings of 127 runs. The day started with a bizarre for Bangladesh as Kumar struck on the very first over. The ball pitched fuller and swung inwards deceiving the bat and pad of Miraz. Taijul, Taskin and Rabbi did well to support their skipper at the lower order. Taskin was good enough to make 39 runs partnership along with his skipper but finally got edged by a sharp delivery from Jadeja. Bangladesh ended their first innings on 388 trailing 299 runs. India had a chance to enforce them to follow-on but Kohli decided to bat for the second time. Only one over has been played in Indian second innings before lunch and they scored 1 for no loss.
