Tail resists but Bangladesh succumb to defeat
Bangladesh always suffer from losing wickets just after break and the trend also continued in the second session of the fifth day. Sabbir got trapped by a good length ball from Ishant. It pitched outside off-stump and hit straightly to the back pad of Sabbir. Sabbir reviewed it but there was nothing with bat. Bangladesh started the day with a stumble as Shakib got out after adding only one run to his previous day’s score. Jadeja pitched an accurate delivery outside the off stump. There is a massive explosion of dust, kissed very top of the Shakib’s bat and rapidly went to the short leg. Mushfiq was playing sensibly after that. He took several deliveries to set on the crease and also punished loose deliveries from the bowlers. The skipper, however, decided to attack Ashwin in his very first over. He came down the wicket on his first delivery and hit straightly. In the very next ball, he again executed superb footwork to clinch a boundary through cover region. He had to restrict his intention in that over but didn’t. He again rushed down the track to slog the ball but miserably mistimed. Fielder took an easy catch eventually. Mahmudullah also departed soon. He played a pull shot but didn’t connect it well. It got top-edged and went straight in the hands of fielder. Miraz got out by another stunner from Jadeja. The ball turned and bounced massively. Miraz tried to defend that ball but it ripped away past the middle of the bat. Saha took a sharp catch behind the stumps. Bangladeshi tail-enders put resistant in the middle but it only allowed them to delay the losing moment. Indian spinners were really on charge and cut-off the tail just before tea break. Bangladesh lost the game by 208 runs.
