Performer of the Final: Sangakkara hands DD maiden BPL title

The Sri Lankan veteran, Kumar Sangakkara was awarded man of the match in the final of the BPL T20 2016 as his side clinched their maiden BPL title. Posting a total of 159 courtesy a deliberate knock from Sangakkara, accompanied by Elvin Lewis, DD defended it comprehensively demolishing the Rajshahi Kings for 103. Reduced to 43/3, Dynamites were in bit of a trouble from where Sangakkara and Lewis rescued them with a 24-ball 41 runs partnership. Lewis getting out for 45, Sangakkara guided his side to set a target of 159 with his 36 runs off 33 balls, hitting 2 fours and 1 six. In the defence, Sangakkara caught Nazmul Hossain behind to complete the wrapping up of RK for 103.
