Winning the toss, Nottinghamshire Second XI opted to bowl first. Irfan Shukkur was got rid by Matt Milnes at 11. Then Shadman Islam and Nazmul Hossain made a partnership of 164 runs in the second wicket. Shadman missed his century by 64 runs. Nazmul completed his century from 119 balls with three sixes and four fours but was soon run out for 106 by Will Fraine with the score on 244-4. BCB HP passed the 300 mark thanks to a cameo from Mohammad Saif Uddin of 33 runs from just 16 balls. Tanbir Hayder was not out on 11 runs from 7 balls. BCB HP posted 306 runs in the stipulated 50 overs. Nottinghamshire started briskly with openers Chris Gibson and Luke Wood posting fifty in eight overs. Wood was then caught by Nazmul from Ebadat Hossain’s bowling for 43 with the total on 65. Mahadi Hasan then grabbed both the wickets of Tom Moores and Gibson. Will Root and Anuj Dal then posted a partnership of 52 runs , but both of them were dismissed by the leg spin of Jubair Hossain. Then Ebadat got his second wicket by dismissing Lyndon James on 9 leaving the host with the socre of 170 runs for 6 wickets in 33.4 overs. After Nottinghamshire reached 195-6 from 37 overs play was stopped for bad light and rain and subsequently abandoned. BCB HP was supposed to play the second match with the same opposition yesterday.
