From whites to the green and red: Mission WC2015 begins here

Bangladesh have won 3 out of the 7 test matches played this year, and have drawn 1. Statistically speaking, the record looks phenomenal in paper by the standards of the tiger’s performances in the longest format since their introduction into the test arena in 2000. The fact to be noticed though, is the opponents who the tigers faced in tests within the last few years. Since 2011, Bangladesh have either hosted or visited the West Indies, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe to play tests, and their 3 victories this year came against Zimbabwe, in the recently concluded test series at home. Year 2014 has been quite disastrous for the tigers, and even after hosting the Asia Cup and also the T20 world cup with grand success, the results of the team was far from grand. Bangladesh was winless in the Asia Cup, even loosing to Afghanistan in the tournament, and there was more embarrassment to come as Hong Kong came out victors against the tigers in one of the qualifiers of the T20 world cup.
