Bangladesh women lost their second game in WC qualifiers

Bangladesh women lost their second game in WC qualifiers
Pakistan Women: 227/10 in 50 overs (Bismah Maroof 35, Rabiya Shah 34, Rumana Ahmed 3/40) Bangladesh Women: 160/10 in 49.3 overs (Nigar Sultana 41, Sanjida Islam 34, Ghulam Fatima 3/28) Pakistan Women won by 67 runs
Bangladeshi women again struggled to beat the infield and consequently failed to rotate the strike frequently which cost them the second match of ICC world cup qualifiers against Pakistan women. Bowlers did a great job to restrict Pakistan innings mounting higher. An opening stand of 76 from 113 balls was a good enough launching pad for Pakistan. Khadija struck twice to hold Pakistan then and forced them to become 78 for 3. Fielders backed bowlers after that by some sharp catching and splendid ground-fielding. Pakistan eventually got all out playing all fifty overs and put 227 runs on the board. Rumana took three wickets for her team. Considering the state of the wicket, which seemingly was slow and also had the tendency to keep low with uneven bounce, Bangladeshi women started cautiously coming to bat in the second innings. But the stalwart fell down quickly as Bangladesh lost their first by 22 runs. Wickets had fallen successively after that and none could act as a juggernaut against Pakistani bowlers. Nigar tried to revamp Bangladesh innings in the middle but she wasn’t supported by any of her fellows. She got out on her personal 41 and theoretically Bangladesh lost that match on that point. Bangladesh women will play their third match against Scotland Women on 10th February.
