Tigers have started the Ireland tour with a defeat as they lost the only practice match against Ireland Wolves by 88 runs at The Hills Cricket Club. Bangladesh will take on Windies in their first match of the Walton Tri-Series 2019 on May 7 at Clontarf, Dublin.
Earlier of the day, Mccollums century and S Sings 91-run knock helped the Ireland Wolves to post 308 for 7 in 50 overs. Taskin Ahmed was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh who bagged 3 wickets for 66. Rubel Hossain claimed 2 for 63.
Tamim Iqbal and Liton Kumar started off the Bangladesh innings on a good note with 56 runs opening stand. But soon after their departures, Tigers lost the momentum by losing couple of quick wickets. Highest scorer Shakib Al Hasan's 54 and Mahmduullah's 37 were not enough as the Wolves bowled Bangladesh out for 219 in 42.4 overs. S Sing picked up 4 wickets for 51.
