Bangladesh ended the group stage of Walton ODI Tri-Nation Series 2019 with another stunning 6-wicket victory against the hosts Ireland at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground, Dublin. Bangladesh will meet Windies in the final on May 17 at The Village, Dublin. Bangladesh made four changes in the playing eleven from the last match. Liton Kumar Das, Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin and Rubel Hossain came in the side replacing Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithin, Mehidy Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman. Batting first Ireland posted 292 for 8 after opted to bat first winning the toss. Opener Paul Stirling smacked 130 to power his side to the big total. Ireland skipper William Porterfield made valuable contribution of 94 to help the hosts to score past the 290 runs mark. Abu Jayed who played his second ODI, scalped 5 wickets for 58. In reply, new opening pair Tamim Iqbal and Liton Kumar gave the Tigers a perfect start with a 117 runs stand before Boyd Rankin bowled Tamim out for 57. Liton on the other played an strokes-full knock of 76 off 67 balls. Following his departure, Shakib Al Hasan and Maushfiqur Rahim batted sensibly and added 74 runs in the third wicket. Rankin broke the partnership by dismissing Mushfiqur on 35. Shakib scored a fifty but retired hurt after feeling some discomfort during the knock. Mosaddek Hossain was the next batsmen to dismissed on 14 when Bangladesh needed jst 15 runs to the victory. Mahmudullah and Sabbir Rahman did the rest of the job easily to chase down the target with 42 balls remaining. Mahmudullah was unbeaten on 35 and Sabbir was on 7.
