Bangladesh suffer third World Cup defeat despite Mushfiqur heroics

Bangladesh made two changes in the playing eleven with Sabbir Rahman and Rubel Hossain who replaced Mosaddek Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin. Australia had the perfect start as their opening pair Aaron Finch and David Warner made an 121 runs partisanship before Soumya Sarkar dismissed Finch on 53. Then Warner added 191 runs with Usman Khawaja to led the foundation for a big total. Soumya got rid both of them on 166 and 89 respectively. Glenn Maxwell's 10-ball 32 then powered Australia for a mammoth total of 381 for 5 after 50 overs. With 3 wickets for 58, Soumya was the most successful bowler for the Tigers. In response, Bangladesh lost the early wicket of Soumya who got run out on 10. Tamim Iqbal looked good before Mitchell Starc bowled him out on 62. Shakib Al Hasan got the start but failed to convert it into big as Marcus Stoinis dismissed him on 41. Liton Das too departed couple of overs later. At 175 for 4 in the 30th over, the target seemed long way for Bangladesh but Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudulah gave themselves a chance with a fighting 127-run stand in the fifth wicket to provide some hope for Bangladesh. But Australia came back strongly in the match by picking up Mahmudullah and Sabbir Rahman in space pf two balls. Mushfiqur Rahim battted till the end but it was not enough as Bangladesh feel 48 short in the target and managed to post 333 for 8. Mushfiqur was not out on 102. Stoinis, Starc and Coulter-Nile shared two wickets each for Australia.
