Khulna clinch Walton 21st NCL 2019-20 title

Khulna Division have sealed the title of 21st Walton National Cricket League (NCL) 2019-20 on the final day of sixth round. Khulna defeated Dhaka Division by 9 wickets to claim the championship crown. Khulna took a lead of 100 runs in their first innings thanks to skipper Nurul Hasan Sohan's unbeaten 150 which proved to be a match-winning knock. In the second innings, Dhaka gave Khulna a target of 117 which they chased down easily with 9 wickets remaining. Anamul Haque Bijoy was struck an unbeaten 79 to power his side to the victory. On the other match, defending champion Rajshahi Division lost against Rangpur Division by 130 runs following a batting collapse on the fourth day. The defeat will put them into the Tier 2 in the next edition's NCL. From the Tier 2, Sylhet already confirmed their spot on Tier 1 for the next year after clinching a dominating 9-wicket victory aainst Chittagong Division on the second day of the match thanks to Ruyel Miah's career best bowling figure. The other match of Tier 2 between Barisal Division and Dhaka Metro has been ended in a draw. They will remain in the Tier 2 for the next year.
