Rajshahi Division sealed the title of 20th Walton National Cricket League (NCL) on the final day of 6th round beating Barisal Division by 6 wickets in Tier 1. This was their 6th NCL title triumph. Rajshahi needed 100 runs to win on the final day and they chased down the target of 284 with 6 wickets in hand thanks to player of the match Junaid Siddique's unbeaten 120.
In Tier 2, Dhaka Division gained promotion to Tier 1 next season after securing the Tier 2 championship following the drawn against Chattogram Division.
Other two matches of Tier 1 and Tier between Rangpur-Khulna and Dhaka Metro-Chattogram ended in a draw.
Sylhet Division's Rajin Salah Alam of Sylhet called an end to his career of two decades after appearing in his last first class match in Cox’s Bazar today. Rajin made 67 and 87 in a man of the match performance against Dhaka Division and finished his first class career of 18 years with 8481 runs that include 18 hundreds. He was a member of the first Bangladesh Test squad and was 12th man in inaugural Test against India in 2000. He went on to play 24 Tests and 43 ODIs for Bangladesh. Rajin also captained the Bangladesh team in the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy.
